I would like to produce a live dashboard which is a dynamic Map view, that doesn’t display the location of devices, rather I want it to display, in the location of each device, the latest content of a given variable. Can this be done or do I need to find another platform for this?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
We are currently working on a feature request that will show the variable’s data instead of the location of the devices on a map widget, as soon as it is available I will notify you.
However, you can achieve something similar by using the On Click function in your map widget and selecting the variable you want to display.
Below, you can see an example of how to create a map widget with this On Click action.
