MQTT connection to INSYS monitoring app

INSYS have a range of smart routers that can run a monitoring app allowing the router to send and receive MQTT messages. Their systems are very good for accessing parameters and process values from Siemens S7 plcs.

I can successfully get the INSYS router to make the connection to the UBDots MQTT broker but I cannot work out how to push values via MQTT into variables. Whatever format of JSON message I try the connection to the broker is lost. No value arrives at the variable of course. Has anyone tried this?

I’ve never tried this. Can you share screenshots of the settings applied? I’d like to evaluate where the problem can be.

Greetings, may you share the router that you are using and its datasheet or user manual? I went ahead to the INSYS docs but they offer many gateways and it seems that everyone of them has a custom setup. I looked the 1806 user manual but did not find any about MQTT but HTTP related to local connections but not for external services.
