Problem with showing new data on my device and dashboard

Hi community.

I am having problem with showing new data on my device. There is nothing shows up in the variable view and on widgets on dashboard. Everything was working fine but then it stopped showing. I am using STEM plan. The dots are sending with esp32 and mqtt protocol every 5 minutes. I created 4 variables and 8 widgets so if I calculated correctly I didn’t pass the limits.

Please, does anyone knows what causes this issue. I will greatly appreciate any idea or suggestion.

I am also experiencing this issue. My single device is still active and collecting data. All of my dashboard widgets show “Error loading your data. Something went wrong on our end and we were unable to load your data.”


Only when I try to view historical data of any of my four variables do I receive a message about exceeding my dots out limit for the day.

Based on the usage report, my account may have hit the limit yesterday… but shouldn’t this reset daily?

Similar to @FraneB, I can not find any account with the username ssweeney, could you please share your username or account email so I can take a look at the issue?

I’ve updated my account username to match the one used here in the community forums (ssweeney).

If I am reading my usage correctly, it shows that my account exceeded the dots out limit yesterday (because the reporting is delayed one day).

If true, this indicates that I hit the limit although my dashboard was not functional all day. How does this happen?

Yes, you’re reading your usage correctly. 500.000 dots out on April 4th indicates the usage for the previous day, April 3rd.

It doesn’t matter whether you open your dashboard on your PC or not; it directly depends on the widget configuration. For instance, if one of your widgets displays the last value of the speed variable:

And this variable is updated every 2-3 minutes:

It also depends on the selected date range. The longer the date range, the higher the number of dots out you will see, especially for widgets that use an aggregation method other than the last value.

I noticed that my data is now being displayed more frequently than when I sent the first message, but still not every 5 minutes. For example, the interval between last two dots is 46 minutes. These intervals are different, so I don’t know when the second dot will be displayed.

I believe the issue was that your dashboard was set to our common Demo device (Demo Machine) rather than your own. I changed the selected device in the dropdown, and the data now appears.

Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Still the same problem. Nothing has changed.
I notice that when I log in on another computer, the dashboard appears in demo mode, so I have to select my device again.

On the image you can see that interval still isn’t 5 minutes.

You need to edit your dashboard and change what’s the default device, currently is Demo Machine.
