[SOLVED] Getting started with chipkit wifire board and ubidots

Hello,
I have just started my final year project using chipkit wifire board. I started researching which PaaS to use and I came in here.
I have few questions that I would like to find answers before deciding to use ubidots as my PaaS.

  • Is the device-chipkit wifire board still supported by ubidots?
  • which software can I use to program wifire board eg: mplab x, mpide, visual studio etc…
  • I tried the getting started guide using mpide, i could not find the chipkit wifire libraries from digilent website. is there any alternative for that?
  • Can I make an android application (Smartphone app) to show sensor details?
  • Can i find example of projects application to look for idea?
  • Is ubidots free of charge to use for ever or for some time or is it not free?

    Yes.

    The manufacturers website has all the software you need: http://chipkit.net/started/
