[SOLVED] Understanding Heart Beat and Client User Interface

Hi Ubidots community,

I am new to this IOT world and still trying to figure out a lot of stuff, how it works.
I was able to communicate Linkit ONE with ubidots via GPRS using Pubsub client library.
My questions are

How can i implement the concept of “heart beat” on device ? Get a notification as soon as it gets powered off or goes out of network coverage. If i set a ping rate of 2 min (monitor a bit), that would eat up a lot points. Any suggestions related this concept ? Or any best practices ?

Currently i have got my own dashboard set-up for testing. If i plan to make a product for a customer. Am i suppose to add his device under my account ? Or suppose to create a separate account / log-in for that customer ? How does this work ?

Hi @Omerm

We have one option in events “Has been inactive”, this event will alert you when the variable is inactive.

1- Go to Events

2- Select event type "Has been inactive"

3- Choose the alert do you prefer
